On the morning of August 27th, Changzhou Verily Agricultural Science and Technology Development Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "Moutai Circular Industry Investment Company") officially signed a pilot-scale cooperation agreement. Both sides will join hands to carry out the "Pilot Verification Research on the Conversion and Resource Utilization of High-Quality Sauce and Wine Lees and Black Soldier Fly Insects" project, build an industrial chain of "sauce and wine lees - insect protein - pet food", and jointly explore innovative paths for the resource utilization of by-products from brewing.

At the signing ceremony, Xie Jun delivered a speech on the theme of "Shouldering the Green Mission Together and Sharing the Circular Value". The pilot project for the conversion of distiller's grains and black horsefly insects carried out by both sides this time is an important measure to implement the group's "high-end" requirements. It is hoped that both sides will enhance their understanding, seize the opportunity, leverage their collaborative advantages, build a closed-loop chain, promote the high-value conversion of distiller's grains resources, create a green development pattern of industrial linkage, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results through jointly promoting technological research and development and market expansion.

Li Yao, the president of Verily Group, stated that Verily Group has been deeply engaged in the field of organic by-product resource utilization for many years and has accumulated rich experience in technology research and development as well as application practice. Insect biotransformation technology is an innovative solution to the problem of resource utilization of distiller's grains - by extracting distiller's grains protein and converting it into high-value insect body protein, it can not only enhance the economic value of distiller's grains but also build a green and low-carbon ecological cycle model. At the same time, both sides will cooperate deeply, jointly enter the current booming pet economy market, and create a diversified development model. He further explained that this technology will help Moutai build a zero-carbon circular economy system of "distiller's grains resources - high-value products - recycling and utilization", providing a replicable practical model for the sustainable development of the liquor industry.

Under the witness of the attending guests, Zhang Di, the general manager of Moutai Circular Industry Investment Company, and Li Yao, the president of Verily Group, signed a cooperation agreement on behalf of their respective sides. After signing the contract, both sides held a symposium to have in-depth exchanges on the implementation details of the pilot project and reached a number of constructive consensations.
